Event Details

Bondage — that contemplative practice on a tatami – Some might even call it boring.

For some, it’s a dream of surrender. For others, it remains a mystery how anyone could find this nerdy, time-consuming rope technique sexy.

Because… where’s the action?

Most fantasies about bondage revolve around being taken — around overwhelm and the loss of control.
So how do we bring that energy into rope practice?

This workshop explores the dynamic and rougher edges of rope as an erotic art form.

We work with the elements of leading and following, distance and closeness, movement and immobilization within a rope scene — and beyond.

We move another body with our own body: through space and on the mat — dominant, intense and hot.

The focus lies on efficient rope handling and ties that are simple to execute but create strong dramatic body lines.

We will mainly work with Ichinawa (single-rope techniques), exploring both aesthetics and psychological impact.

We will also experiment with elements of overwhelm — rough body play and Hojojutsu-inspired ties.

Mood: rough, quick & dirty, fun.

Please bring your own ropes if possible. A limited number will be available to borrow.

This workshop is physically active and body-intensive.

All you really need is a willingness to move, engage physically with others, and occasionally push your comfort zone.

There will be highly dynamic moments as well as very quiet, intimate ones.
